Lyrics

Seeds
Out in the Wild West, where the sage is tall as mountians.
And there´s no way around it, cause it´s burnin like a fountian.

No matter what you do, you´re always gettin older.
And the sage is everywhere like a chip upon your shoulder.

And people just like us, who were born and raised as weeds.
They tried to root us out, not knowin we were seeds.
Not knowin we were seeds.

The days are getting shorter, and the nights they are so cold.
And the only ones that make it, must be ever bold.

Someday
You know a million dollars won´t set you free. I quit my job today cause it wasn´t me.
Then I was out all night till the sun came up. Then I wrote this song just to cheer me up.

I hope we laugh again that way, I hope we talk again and say.
Someday, someday, someday, someday.

You know a fool has really got it made, cause we all break our back for naught these days.
If we could all sit down, for a little while, and just get back to that good old smile.

Fields
Old barb wire fence, dusty dirt road, I left there so long ago.
And in my heart they´re just dreams, that I only see when I sleep.

Clouds in the sky, bright yellow sun, o´er the fields where we used to run.
now they´re just thoughts in my mind, where I return from time to time.

Big mulberry tree, on the iron hill, I never was one to sit still…

Oh No More
On a freight train and far away, I´m comin home, this very day.
In a pine box they´ll bury my, and my troubles no more will be.

On a shoreline, on a mountian, I´m lookin out at the edge of the world.
I cast my sorrow upon despair, they are the blues beyond repair.

Oh no more, Oh no more, will my troubles, trouble me.
Oh no more, Oh no more, will my troubles trouble me.

Down at the crossing of the river, I´m waitin for that sun to go down
And I wonder, it makes me wonder, if tomorrow I´ll be around

20 Years
I walk along this highway, and the lights they burn my eyes,
And no one gonna stop, as they go passing by.
And I don´t where I´m goin but I know just where I been.
And I ain´t ever goin back, that way again.

20 Years in that prison, 20 Years put me away.
20 Years they locked me up, 20 Years to the day.
And I don´t know where I´m goin, but I know just where I been.
And I ain´t ever goin back, that way again.

Well that man he shot my daddy, shot him right through the eye.
And he died before I got there, didn´t get to say goodbye.
And I don´t know where I´m goin, but I know just where I been.
And I ain´t ever goin back, that way again.

Now that man was the judge´s brother, and that´s all I have to say.
Ain´t no justice in this life, just us along the way.
And I don´t know where I´m goin, but I know just where I been.
And I ain´t ever goin back, that way again.

This is the end of my story, the end of my song.
I´m sure you can figure out what happened 20 Years ago.
This is the end of my story, the end of my song.
That´s all I´m gonna say, ain´t gonna say no more.

Yeah ain´t gonna say no more…

Hold On
If you got trouble brother, fear and strife, oh hold on, you gotta hold on.
If you got bills to pay, can´t sleep at night, oh hold on, you gotta hold on.
You ain´t got time for this sorrow, you gotta have time to live your life.
You ain´t got time for all this sadness, you gotta find some peace of mind.
Hold on, you gotta hold on. Hold on, you you gotta hold on.
Hold on, you gotta hold on. Hold on, you gotta hold on.

So you´re thinkin about the end, like you ain´t got a friend, hold on, you gotta hold on.
So you´re tired and want to give up, down and out of luck, hold on, you gotta hold on.
You ain´t got time for all this sadness, you gotta have time to live your life.
You ain´t got time for all this sorrow, you gotta find some peace of mind.
Hold on, you gotta hold on. Hold on, you you gotta hold on.
Hold on, you gotta hold on. Hold on, you gotta hold on.

So you´re thinkin about the end, like you ain´t got a friend. Hold on, you gotta hold on.

Waitin´ To Be Free
Standin here outside your window, in the pourin rain.
Waitin for you to ask me in, oh I guess, Oh I be waitin in vain.

Standin here at your table, waitin for some bread, well you got enough for yourself.
Well I guess, I guess I´d be better off dead.

Lying here waitin for some kindness, here in this bed.
But if you look, you look at me, you worry, oh you worry could be you instead.

Standin here outside this station, waitin for my voice to be read.
But no matter how they count it, don´t you know, don´t you know the vote´s already in.

Standin here, with all these people, just like you and me,
Standin here we´re all equal, just waitin, oh we´re just waitin to be free.

Oh we´re waitin, just waitin to be free.

Blowin´ Round
I don´t have no silver bullet, when the wolf is knockin at my door.
And I don´t have no magic potion, for evening the score.

I don´t have no cure for madness, cause who´s to say what´s mad.
And I don´t have no cure for sadness, cause who´s to say what´s glad.

And I ain´t got no time to kill, cause I know what it´s worth.
There´s just ashes of our memories, blowin´ round, blowin´ round, blowin´ round this world.

And I don´t get no satisfaction, from bein a player of the game.
Cause when you look upon the field, you don´t see any names.

And I ain´t got no time to kill, cause I know what it´s worth,
There´s just ashes of our memories, blowin´ round, blowin´ round, blowin´ round this world.

And we aint got no time to kill cause we know what it´s worth.
There´s just ashes of our memories, blowin´round, blowin´round, blowin´round this world.

In These Halls

It´s dark as night, in these halls, it´s dark as night, in these halls.
It´s dark as night, there ain´t no light, the stars have died, in these halls.

It´s black as sin, in these halls. It´s black as sin, in these halls.
It´s black as sin, he´s gonna get in, you ain´t ever gonna win, in these halls.

Feels like a grave, in these halls, Feels like a grave, in these halls.
Feels like a grave, you ain´t ever gonna be saved,  don´t bother bein brave.
It´s black as sin, he gonna get in, you ain´t ever gonna win.
It´s dark as night, there ain´t no light, the stars have died.
In these halls…

Back When
On the far side of the mountian, where I left my childhood friends.
Well I wonder, yes I wonder, about times that would not end.
And do you think it could be true, how it was with me and you.
And could this be on the mend, back when.

At the delta of the river, where it flows into the sea.
Well I wonder, yes I wonder, will you remember me.
Or was it because of him, or letters that would not send,
Is this another bend, back when.

At the bridge where the waters meet, I lay my head down and rest my feet.
Under the shadow of an old oak tree is where I´ll be…

In the desert of our sorrow, oh I just will never know.
And I am left with all my anger, and feelings of those tones.
Where greens will turn to blue. And feelings of those hues.
Is this another trend, back when.

Oh is this another trend, what was and has never been.
Is this where the story ends?
